Tolkien's crocodile

This is what Tolkien did during two hour stake conference today. The dots are where he wants to put the brads so his crocodile will have moving parts. That way he can swipe his prey and chomp him up.

Easter

It was strange not to get together with the whole family this holiday. My parents were in the middle of moving and my brother didn't come down from Idaho so we skipped celebrating entirely on that side of the family.

We attempted our first public Easter egg hunt in 10 years. We underestimated the number of people and got there just in time to watch all the kids dash for eggs. We didn't find Odessa's age group until 30 seconds into it and everything was gone. I cried with her and 2 sweet girls shared some of their eggs with her.

Sunday we had a nice dinner with John's family, with a great egg hunt, a couple from Texas, and lots of cousin time and grown-up conversation. John's oldest sister and family didn't come so it still felt incomplete.
