Snippits
In case you really haven't talked to us for a long time...
Our newest daughter for the year, Josefine (Josie), arrived from Germany in August. It is strange having a kid at the high school, but it's a good warm-up for us. Josie is fun and crazy and adjusting well to our way of life.
Braunte' was an amazing Millie in her school play (May), "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and then made the cheer-leading squad for the 2011-12 school year. She is a great example of integrity and charity to her friends and family and was just voted in as "the next Di Vinci" in ninth grade standouts.
Odessa is a remarkable little pianist and singer, though she doesn't realize it. She got tired of tumbling and now that soccer season is over she's ready to try something new this year. We are excited that she just got the part of Jazmine in her school play, "Aladdin". She's also a great, little cook.
In June Tolkien tried a new sport, baseball, and in September he played an old one, soccer. He is really focused and good at keeping his head in the game. He is a thoughtful kid and we are so proud of his hard work at home and in school.
John and I survived being parents of 8 AMAZING kids on our pioneer trek (Braunte' also had a great temp family). It was a great experience and I miss my other kids dearly and hope for them to have successful, happy lives!
John is still a mean, old Assistant Principal and in the Bishopric. Any evening with nothing on the calendar is appreciated. Shauntelle is still Young Women President and PTA Secretary and thankful for her education so she can help all her kids with their homework. Life is busy, but rewarding for us.
